Lesson 25, January 25

I do not know what anything is for.

Our natural state is to be awake and conscious of seeing God in everyone and everything, and aware of all of our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Chances are you are reading this because you have not reached this state yet. You may be in a state of resistance or struggle instead, and experiencing life from a victim’s perspective. Many areas of your life may simply not be working.

To reach an awakened state, we need to begin by first being in a state of innocence, of not knowing.

In this lesson we are asked to achieve this state by giving up all of the goals we have established for everything. This is because we perceive our goals in terms of the ego, but the ego is not who we are.

We are a child of God, a part of the One mind. We will be led by our Father and by the Holy Spirit to take care of all of our needs. We cannot do this on our own because we are still identified with the personal ego and its separating interests. The ego is invested in us remaining identified with it.

Therefore, we don’t know what anything means.

We need to make a practice of letting go of all of the meanings that we have given to everything.

We need to let go of the judgments we have placed on the parts of our lives that are not working or that are failing to rise up to our expectations.

Only when our minds are open and emptied of all these meanings will there be a space in us for the Holy Spirit to fill with His replacement thoughts and Vision.

Like a child, we need to place our faith in our Father, and trust in the knowledge that He knows what everything is for.
